The data was retrieved from documents in the VOC archives located in the National Archives in The Hague (Inventory 1.04.02), from the notarial archives in the Amsterdam city archives (Stadsarchief Amsterdam, inventory 5075) and from miscellaneous primary and secondary sources. The set consists of several excel sheets, each containing data on a specific aspect of the company's finances, for instance its shareholders, depositors, insures, stock prices and share transactions. The first data uploaded to SODHA in the summer of 2026 is about the forward trade in VOC shares between 1607 and 1610. Other data will be uploaded in the course of 2027 and 2028.
