It includes the socio-demographic characteristics of the respondents (age, gender, occupation, income, political preferences and type of urbanisation). In addition, questions on the likelihood of war and serious disorder, public attitudes towards environmental and feminist movements, the applications for membership from Greece, Portugal and Spain, the election of the European Parliament and opinion on European radio broadcasts were also asked.<br> Eurobarometers are a series of public opinion surveys conducted regularly on behalf of the European Commission and other EU institutions since 1973.
